What a lovely sunny week we have had.
In Literacy we read Pandora's Box. We got so far into the story then wrote a prediction about it. Then we completed the story. We then planned a newspaper report about how Pandora's curiosity got the better of her and she opened the box that Zeus had told her not to. We completed our cold writes over 2 days. Next week we are reading about Medusa.
In Maths, Year 5 have continued to look at angles in 2D shapes. Year 6 looked at the parts of a circle and how to find the radius, diameter and circumference. We also looked at how to draw shapes accurately. We ended the week by looking at co-ordinates in the first quadrant.
In Science, we looked at how the Ancient Greeks told the time and researched sundials. We will be making our own and testing them over the next few weeks.
In RE we have started to look at what commitment means and what it looks like.
In PSHE, we looked at what happens in Parliament.
In History, we are learning about the Vikings and the invasion to Britain. We looked at some Viking artefacts we have borrowed from Maidstone Museum.
