Welcome everyone to the first blog of the new term!
Everyone in class seemed to have had an enjoyable half-term break and we were straight into learning, planning and writing a poem about a river journey. Our topic this term is entitled 'Go with the flow' and we will be investigating rivers in some detail over the course of the next six weeks.
To supplement our understanding of rivers and bridges, we took an enjoyable walk down into town on Thursday and along the tow path, discussing the various bridges we saw and the flow of the river and the various sights associated with the River Medway.
In Numeracy, both year groups have been looking at fractions and their equivalents and using their times tables knowledge to support their understanding.
In RE we discussed the concept of 'good and bad' and thought about the qualities that makes someone a 'good person'.
On Thursday we started our new PE topic of rugby and had a session on the playground looking at the various methods of passing a rugby ball.
Well done everyone for all your efforts this first week back, have an enjoyable weekend!
