This week in our Literacy we have been looking at different aspects of grammar. We have done some retrieval practice on spelling homophones which we used in sentences. We then learnt about using the possessive apostrophe with plurals, and final how to use pronouns to describe the Iron Man to avoid repetition.
In Maths, Year 4 have been learning about converting different units of metric length and using these to estimate lengths and find the perimeter of rectangles. Year 3 have been learning about comparing, measuring and estimating length using centimeters.
In our history learning we looked at Roman hypocaust systems and built models to understand how they used these to heat their homes. In our DT we built prototypes of our buzzer games to work out how to arrange the circuit and work out any things that could be improved. In Science we built our own switches so we could create open and closed circuits.
Thank you to all those that could attend our class assembly. It was lovely to share all our learning with you. If you missed the class video or would like to watch it again, there is a link below to the school's Youtube channel.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mr Saunders and Mrs Mallon.
