Welcome back, we hope you had a wonderful Easter break! It has been a busy first week back getting into our new Literacy topic learning all about Carnivorous plants. We are looking at non-chronological reports this term and will be researching the different types of meat eating plant that grow around the world. We will be practising the skills needed to write non-chronological reports before using them to write our own all about our chosen plants.
In Maths Year 4 have been looking at how to make wholes using tenths and hundredths represented as both decimals and fractions. Year 3 have been looking at adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator.
In our Computing learning we looked at how to create different codes on Scratch and use these to animate an avatar which we could control. In RE we looked at the golden rules for different religions and how they are similar and different. In our Art we looked at the work of sculptor Peter Thursby and looked at some of his most famous pieces and analysed what we did and didn't like about them.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
Mr Saunders and Mrs Mallon.
