Spring Term 2 - Week 6

Holly Class' Exciting Week!

What a fantastic week it has been for Holly Class! We embarked on an exciting school trip to Maidstone Museum, where we participated in a fun workshop about fossils. The children discovered that fossils are formed when teeth, bones and claws are left behind, all under tremendous pressure and heat.

In Maths, we’ve been consolidating our previous learning, ensuring we’re all on track. Our English poetry unit came to a delightful end as we crafted poems about mythical creatures, focusing on structure rather than rhyme.

We also observed signs of Spring, writing acrostic poems to encapsulate the season. In Geography, we revisited the UK, exploring its countries using Google Earth and presenting our findings to the class. Don’t forget to check the school website for photos of our adventures!
