🌟 A Busy and Brilliant Week at School! 🌟
This week, despite the focus on SATs, our mornings have been filled with exciting opportunities to reconsolidate our learning across a range of subjects!
In Geography, we explored the four countries of the UK and identified their flags. Our Art lessons were inspired by Van Gogh, as we sketched our own beautiful versions of his iconic sunflowers. In Maths, we continued learning about money by role-playing in our very own class shops—great fun and fantastic practice! Literacy saw us tackling a variety of mini activities, all focused on mastering those tricky common exception words and recapping our phonics sets 1 2 & 3. We even combined DT and Science to build flower pots for our growing plants!
Our afternoons were just as action-packed. In RE, we explored the important features found in a church. In Science, we planted and observed cress growing. We also continued crafting our 3D sunflower models in Art - this will be continued into next week! During PE, we applied our badminton racket skills in real games, and in Music and Computing, we studied different composers and how their music reflects movement and pace.
A huge well done to all our pupils for their hard work and enthusiasm this week! 🌻🎨🏸🎶
We wish everyone taking part in SATs and other exams the very best of luck!!
