What a great start to Term 3! Happy New Year!!
I hope that you all had a fantastic Christmas and managed to create some lovely memories.
This term in Literacy we are looking at the Iron Man by Ted Hughes. We have started by describing the character and by writing a description of our own monsters.
Numeracy - Year 4 have looked at factors pairs and are now moving on to multiplication and division. Year 3 are applying their times table knowledge to complete multiplication problems.
Our topic for science is Bright Sparks and we will be investigating how to make a circuit. For our first lesson we've identified and sorted appliances into groups - which appliances needed electricity and which did not.
For History, we have began our learning about the Romans. This week we've learnt about the 4 key reasons why the Romance wanted to invade Britain, and created interesting timelines to show our understanding.
Well done to all the children (and their adults) that have continued to read during the holidays. Keep it up!!
Have a great weekend.
From Mrs Jacobs and Mrs Bramwell.
