Walnut Class Term 5 Week 4

We have had a really great week of fantastic learning!

During our Literacy, we have been writing our non-chronological reports, showcasing all of the research we have done into carnivorous plants and the features we have learnt about. The children have done some amazing learning and have really shown how much they have enjoyed the topic.

In Maths we have all been learning about using money in a context. We designed our own gardens and then had to find out how much it would cost to buy all of the items we would need. We used our addition methods and rounding to find the total cost.

In Geography we picked a biome to research and created fact files about it to find out all about the animals, plants and climate of each biome. We created the most amazing fact-files and learnt so much about carnivorous plants.

In Art we practiced our painting and colour mixing techniques to paint our plant sculptures, they look amazing and are displayed in our classroom. We are so proud of ourselves.

In RE we looked at people who are famous for doing good deeds and found out about how they impacted peoples' lives in the past and today.

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
