Welcome to Elm Class!
It has been wonderful to get to know the children this week as they return to school for a new year. We have already begun delving into our topic all about the Stone Age and how Britain changed from this period into the Bronze Age.
We have started our Literacy text, Stig of the Dump, and have looked at noun phrases so that we can write a setting description at the end of the week.
In Maths we have been exploring number in various different ways, and looking at what numbers are and how we can represent them.
In Topic we have begun learning about the Stone Age by making Stone Age tools, foraging for food and making shelter to gain understanding of how people in the day lived their lives, found food and why they needed to protect themselves.
