Walnut Class Term 2 Week 3

It's the weekend again. We have had another very productive week of positive learning in Walnut Class.

This week we have started to use fronted adverbials to create our amazing posters to save the Daintree Rainforest. We have also used persuasive language to create letters to the Australian Prime Minister to stop deforestation and logging in order to save the Daintree Rainforest.

Our focus in guided reading this week has been on retrieval and how we can skim and scan to locate evidence in the text to answer questions.

In maths, we have continued to focus on multiplication and division. We have also been solving problems by applying our knowledge and skills.

In science this week, we have been looking at the classification system. We did a retrieval practice by discussing what we know about some of the animal groups: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles and amphibians.

In PSHE, we have been looking at the importance of taking responsibility for our own happiness.

In P.E. we continued our gymnastic lessons.
