In our Literacy lessons this week, the children listened to the story 'What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside' and answered questions about what happened in the story. Before hearing the ending, the children had a go at predicting what would happen. As a class we created a list of creatures the Ladybird saw at the seaside and the children gave ideas of an alternate ending to the story. Our learning challenge this week was to write our own ending to the story.
This week in Maths we focused on giving giving instructions. Using animal figures, we created an arrangement discussing the positioning of each animal we used. The children were prompted to create the same arrangement while also providing information on each animal's position in relation to the other.
In PSHE the children learned about healthy foods and how important it is to eat a healthy and varied diet.
Our PSED lesson this week gave the children the opportunity to look at photos of them from the start of the year and compare it to have they look now. The children were encouraged to consider how much they have changed, grown and learned over the past year.
We are super excited to see all the children's amazing costumes for our Minibeast Dress Up Day today! We hope they enjoy taking part in all the minibeast themed activities we had set up for them.
