Week ending 17.7.26

Wow! It feels like only yesterday that we started the school year, but we've packed it with lots of amazing learning. I'm particularly proud that all children in Oak Class are starting KS2 having passed the phonics screening, some last year when they were in year 1, and the rest this year.

Well done to Annabelle who was awarded the Music trophy on Wednesday.

This week, the whole school were treated to an amazing performance by the Year 6 children of Pirates of the Curry Bean on Monday afternoon. This was their dress rehearsal before performing it to their families on Tuesday.

Children have been busy preparing for the end of the year, reflecting on their successes and achievements, what they're grateful for, and ambitions for next year. They wrote themselves letters for them to keep and read in the future.

Thank you for all your support with the children's learning over the year. I wish you a happy and healthy summer holiday, and hope that the children return in September refreshed and eager to learn.
