This week in English we started reading The Last Wolf by Mini Grey, a book set in the future where trees have been cut down and there is only one wolf left in the land. Little Red sets off to hunt a wolf and meets the last wolf, lynx and bear. Children took part in a journey through the forest school area reenacting the story - lurking behind trees and slithering through the bracken. Children have been using adjectives to describe the characters in the story.
In Maths, we have been looking at cash, investigating British coins and notes and working out how to give the exact money when buying things.
In Science we have continued looking at plants and how seeds germinate in particular. Children presented their findings to the class using drawings and drama.
In PE, children have been learning how to throw into targets and how to hold the racket for a backhand hit.
Another busy week!
