What a busy start to our last term in Oak Class!
In English, children have been researching different careers and professions; looking at what jobs people do, what these jobs involve and what qualifications and training are needed to acquire these jobs. Children decided what they might like to do when they're grown up and I was pleasantly surprised no one wanted to be a professional footballer!
In Maths, we started our fractions topic which was dauntimg for some at first but they understood halves and quarters by the end of the week.
In PE, the weather was not conducive to going outside, so children learnt how to speed stack, then they got into teams to try and create the tallest tower, then we made a tower as a class.
In computing, children had a great time learning how to use bee bots which are little robots that need to be given commands. They drew their own mazes and programed the bee bots to navigate the maze, often needing to debug their commands.
