Term 6, Week 7

We can not believe we are here already, our last week of term with our Apples and Pears! We have had a very busy week. In our Literacy lessons, the children listened to the story 'Kipper goes on Holiday' and we discussed all the lovely things we can do over the summer holidays.
This week in Maths we have been going over prior learning to consolidate what we have already learnt, such as circle games of counting to 20 and beyond, number bonds to 5 and 10 and patterns.
In PSHE the children learned more about different emotions and we linked this to how they feel about moving up to Year 1 in September.
On Monday afternoon we had the pleasure of watching the Year 6 production 'Pirates of the Currybean'. They put on a fantastic performance and Apples and Pears enjoyed watching it.
On Wednesday afternoon, the children visited their new Year 1 classes again, and got to spend more time with their new teacher and friends.
This morning, Apples and Pears watched the Year 6 Leavers assembly and then we had lots of fun having our End of Year party! It has been a busy year and it was lovely to be able to celebrate the children completing their Reception year.
Thank you so much for all your support with the children's learning over the past year. The children have made great progress and we have enjoyed teaching them. We hope you have a fantastic summer, we are going to miss the children very much, but we look forward to seeing them all in Year 1 from September.
