This week in literacy, we have started our learning on poetry. The children have written and performed their own poems and answered questions relating to The Owl and The Pussycat. We discussed the vocabulary used and checked this with dictionaries to confirm if they were real words or nonsense words.
In numeracy, Year 4 have started their learning on statistics by looking at bar and line graphs and answering questions relating to these. Year 3 have learnt about 3D shapes and how these shapes can be made using a net.
In Science, we have continued our learning about the skeleton, looking at and identifying different animals. We discussed why having their skeleton on the outside of the body helps to protect some animals from predators. It also provides a frame for their muscles to stick and hang from.
Thank you to all those that brought in a donation for the Festival of Fun.
