Week ending 15.5.26

Children have had another busy week in Oak Class.

In Maths, children have been continuing with their learning about money and learning how to work out the correct amount of change needed when buying items.

In English, children have been learning all about writing descriptively including using adventurous verbs, interesting adverbs and exciting adjectives. In Friday's lesson, children learnt about similes and used these to describe the characters and settings in the book. I hope they make good use of these when they write their narratives next week.

In Music, we've been looking at how music can tell a story, and children created a soundscape for a story of their making and performed using musical instruments.

In DT, having designed their final piece last week, children created their planters using recycled plastic. Thank you to parents for supplying the resources! A special well done to Daniel for making his planter look like a Ryanair airplane!

Have a lovely weekend
