Week ending 15th May 2026

In literacy, we have been looking at persuasive advertisements.  In groups, the children had to design a new chocolate bar and then write a script about why you should buy their chocolate bar.  They then filmed their advert on the ipads using iMovie.

In numeracy, children have been completing a range of activities to support topics they have covered this year including building 3D shapes, tally charts, bar graphs and word problems.

In PHSE, our current topic is Citizenship.  We have learnt about the role of a Councillor and what our local council do.  The children were then asked to order 7 different categories that they'd spend their budget on.  It made for some interesting conversations!

We will be visiting Mote Park next Friday to fly our kites – hopefully the weather will be kind and the children will have a wonderful experience.
